At present, representative laser cutting equipment manufacturers internationally include: TRUMPF from Germany, BYSTRONIC from Switzerland, PRIMA from Italy, WHITNEY from the United States, and TANAKA from Japan. Their representative technologies are shown in Table 1. These internationally renowned companies have successively developed high-power, large format, high-speed, flying optical paths, 3D stereoscopic, CNC automatic laser cutting machines, and are launching new models every year. The rapid development of technology can be seen from the introduction of high-speed machine tools with acceleration of 2g by Baichao in 2002 and 3g in 2007.
With the gradual popularization of laser cutting, the market requires further improvement of cutting efficiency (high-speed cutting), reduction of standby time (automatic loading and unloading system), expansion of application scope (developing towards three-dimensional cutting, thick plates, and high reflective materials), and reduction of operating costs (reducing power consumption).
